Steve Evans talks to Millers Player.

Manager Steve Evans has confirmed that striker Alex Revell is a major doubt ahead of tomorrow’s trip to fellow high-flyers Preston North End.

The robust front-man took a blow to the eye late on during the Millers last gasp 2-1 victory over Carlisle United at the weekend, and Evans admitted that the game tomorrow night at Deepdale could well come to early for the former Leyton Orient striker.

“We think that the big man will miss out,” Evans told Millers Player.

“He does look as though he has been in a boxing match as opposed to a football match. If we didn’t have the mid-week game then we would have been confident he would be available for the weekend, but tomorrow night it looks as though we are without the big man who has been simply stunning for us.”

There was better news on the injury front for Evans with both Craig Morgan and Mark Bradley set to be available after missing the game at weekend. Morgan has recovered from a recent bout of tonsillitis whilst Bradley has shaken off a back injury which was sustained during the 2-1 victory over Stevenage.

Meanwhile, Rob Milsom was due to fully train today as he looks to play a part in the reserve game at Doncaster Rovers this Wednesday night.
