Adam Collin talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Custodian Adam Collin was quick to hail the character of his Rotherham United side as they earned their first Championship victory of the season at the expense of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In an enthralling encounter Collin was in the thick of the action but after weathering the storm, the Millers came out on top as super-sub Ryan Hall struck the decisive winner late in the game after skipper Craig Morgan's header was superbly kept out by Wolves' stopper Carl Ikeme.

Speaking exclusively to www.themillers.co.uk following the game, Collin was quick to pay tribute to the never-say-die spirit of his side.

"It was a hard fought three points against a very good team, who I have no doubt will be in the top 10 at the end of the season," he enthused.

"Our promotion campaign was built on character, as we fought back in a number of games and won a lot of games late on and we showed again today that we play all the way to the end and it was a good three points, while the clean sheet was a massive bonus."

The ex-Carlisle stopper was the name on everyone's lips in the first-half which saw him pull off a superb double save from Bakary Sako to keep the scores level.

Following the French-born striker's initial effort, Collin looked helpless as Sako seemed certain to plant home the rebound into the unguarded net until the Rotherham stopper came out of nowhere to parry the ball to safety against all odds.

"That's what we work on in training to be quick on your feet," he revealed.

"It's repetitive work but that's the reason why we do it and it was good to help the lads out and get the clean sheet."
