3AAA partnership helps the Millers

Academy Manager Garreth Barker recently took on a new member of staff in association with the Millers’ own away team sponsor 3AAA. 

Aspire, Achieve, Advance, who have their company name emblazoned across the back of the new white away shirt have provided the Academy with 17 year-old Jack who comes on board with the Millers for the next 12 months. 

“When our Commercial Partnership was announced with AAA I thought it would be a good idea to get someone in on a training scheme,” Garreth told www.themillers.co.uk

“I had a few conversations with them, and spoke to the appropriate people with regards to funding and got it all sorted out. Caroline from 3AAA has been over, held some interviews and Jack came through it all very well. He’s got his AS Levels and will now come through and work with data productions in relation to things like fitness testing and heart rates.”

An aspect of the Millers’ successful academy audit earlier this year was the data recorded along with the performance plans created, and Barker believes that bringing 

We’ve invested heavily in sports testing equipment and so there’s a lot of data and as a result he will be a key addition as it means our coaches can spend more time coaching. 

It’s been good working with 3AAA, they’ve been excellent in helping us get it sorted over the last couple of months and the club have given us funding along with the government.
