The 2016 event is underway...
Rotherham United’s Golf Day got underway this morning with a number of teams battling out for the 2016 prize at Sitwell Golf Club.
The teams of four set off following a shotgun start at 11am, after breakfast and refreshments in the Sitwell club house.
Amongst the players were chairman Tony Stewart, whilst John Breckin once again provided a Rotherham United legends side including the likes of Alan Crawford, John Green and Mick Leng.
“It is great to see some old faces from our previous Golf Day events, but also nice to see some new teams for the 2016 competition,” said Steve Coakley, Rotherham United’s commercial director.
“We have had a great morning with all the competitors in good spirits, but now the serious business has started with everyone battling it out on the course.
“Again I would like to thank Sitwell for hosting the event, and I look forward to seeing everyone back at AESSEAL New York Stadium this afternoon where we will crown the 2016 winners.”
