Rotherham United Community Sports Trust will be throwing open the doors to their brand new Goal Zone Centre this Saturday at AESSEAL New York Stadium.

The new facility will be free to enter to supporters who are season ticket holders or have purchased tickets for the match, with pre-match entertainment provided for kids who are arriving early for the match.

The centre, which is situated next to the Players’ Entrance in the main West Stand, includes an Xbox console, table tennis table, a reaction wall, indoor games plus TV screens of the early kick off for young fans to enjoy before the main event of watching the Millers.

Rotherham United’s Head of Community Jamie Noble said: “Following the Community Sports Trust’s move to the AESSEAL New York Stadium we have looked at several ways where we can make our new facilities available on matchdays.

“We feel the Goal Zone is the perfect place to visit prior to the game giving families the option of a matchday experience that doesn’t just include arriving for the 90 minutes.

“The Goal Zone is one of several ways in which the club are striving to improve our matchday experience for families, and allowing access to this facility for free we feel it is the perfect way to get ready for 3pm when the Millers take to the field.”

The centre is open Saturday matchdays from 1pm, but children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
