Rotherham United's head of recruitment update...
Rotherham United can confirm an appointment has been made to head up the Club’s re-structured recruitment department.
The Millers can now reveal the appointment of a new head of recruitment who will drive forward a new recruitment strategy, whilst also playing an active role in helping the Club appoint the next first team manager.
Currently employed at another Club where he is serving his notice period, the individual cannot be named at this stage but chief operating officer Paul Douglas explained the latest addition is a major step forward for the Millers.
“The Club has taken a long look at how we can improve our recruitment strategy,” he told www.themillers.co.uk
“We set about a process in the early autumn to find the right person to be our head of recruitment and, after several weeks, we can confirm that we have made an appointment.
“We cannot at this moment announce the name of the individual, but what we can say is he is a very experienced person who is currently working at a well established club.
“He has experience in both UK and European recruitment, will be a huge asset for the Club and will play a part in the process of finding our next manager.
“The new head of recruitment will operate a structure that will ensure the Club is more comprehensive and rigorous in finding the type of players Rotherham United needs to be competitive at the highest possible level."
