Paul Warne talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Rotherham United manager Paul Warne has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Ipswich Town this weekend, for what will be the club’s penultimate home fixture of the 2016/17 campaign.

The Millers’ boss is confident that on loan striker Carlton Morris will be available this weekend after he was withdrawn from the Easter Monday clash with Reading, while long-term absentee Kirk Broadfoot has returned to full training this week.

“He [Morris] hurt his hip in the game, but he just looked generally fatigued to me, so I tried to freshen it up,” Warne told www.themillers.co.uk.

“That's why he came off but he trained today [Thursday] fully so he'll be fine and touch wood, if nothing happens between now and then, available for Saturday.”

“He's [Broadfoot] back in full training which is good. I think he enjoyed it today because it was quite a long session, so he's back in. Obviously he needs a few weeks to get them full fitness back.”

Meanwhile, Warne predicts that club captain could be fit for a return to action before the end of the 2016/17 campaign following good progress on the injury front, but will be without defender Stephen Kelly who has had an Achilles injury treated with an injection.

“Frecks is ticking along. He just has one movement where he says he gets pain but he's doing a lot of work,” he explained.

“Stephen Kelly had an injection whilst in London and that's his season done on his Achilles, so he's walking round in a boot unfortunately for another few weeks.

“His season is done but Frecks might be available before the end, but I don't honestly know.”

Stopper Lewis Price has also returned to training but could be set for a spell out of action further down the line as he continues to recover from tonsillitis.

“He was back in training today,” Warne explained.

“He said he still didn't feel a million dollars and he's going to have his tonsils out I think, which is a couple of months away from the games.

“The sooner we can get that done, for him and the club, the better because then he'll come back pre-season in a fit shape and I don't want it to carry on any longer than that."
