Rotherham United were deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of former player Dennis Warner.Dennis starred for the Millers between 1950 and 1957 making a total of 68 appearances for the club in all competitions.
A whole-hearted full back, who could operate on the right or left, he made his professional debut in a home victory over Leeds United in 1952.
He played the final seven games of the famous 54/55 campaign as the team narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight.
Dennis went on to have a spell with Chesterfield who he signed for in 1957.
Everyone at the club would like to pass on their heartfelt condolences to Dennis’ friends and family at this time.
