Rotherham United squandered a 3-0 half-time lead to only pick up a point after a spirited comeback by Burton ensured a 3-3 draw.
In another Don Valley goalfest the Millers were 3-0 in front after goals by Kevin Ellison, Ryan Cresswell and Adam Le Fondre but a Shaun Harrad hat-trick in the second half earned the visitors a point.
Ronnie Moore made one change from the side narrowly beaten at Shrewsbury last weekend, with Paul Warne replacing the injured Tom Elliott.
The Millers made a dream start and took the lead inside the first minute.Ellison curled a free kick left-footed from 25 yards underneath Burton 'keeper Adam Legzdins, who should have done better.
Burton responded well to going behind and took the game to the Millers, having the lion's share of possession for spells without creating any clear chances.
Rotherham soaked up the Burton pressure and then struck another blow on 34 minutes to double their lead.Exodus Geohaghon launched a long throw into the penalty area, and skipper Cresswell was on hand to head past Legzdins from 12 yards for his third of the season.
The home side were clinical in front of goal and netted a third on the break after 38 minutes.Warne released Ellison down the right wing, and his pinpoint cross allowed Le Fondre to convert from inside the six yard box.

Burton grabbed themselves a lifeline a minute into the second half. A long ball forward deceived Creswell who clipped the ball past Andy Warrington, allowing Harrad a simple tap-in.
Substitute Jimmy Phillips forced Johnny Mullins into a lunging tackle in the penalty area on the hour mark to leave referee Graham Salisbury no option but to give Burton a penalty. Harrad stepped up to hammer beyond Warrington to make it 3-2.
On 70 minutes Danny Harrison worked himself some space 25 yards from goal but his rasping drive skimmed off the surface and glided just past the near post.
Burton missed a great chance to level on 79 minutes when a Phillips cross wasn't dealt with by Geohaghon. The ball fell kindly to Harrad eight yards out but his shot appeared to be tipped onto the bar and over by Warrington.
That proved to be the Millers' final warning when Harrad did deliver his hat-trick on 83 minutes. A sweeping move by the Brewers saw Gregg Pearson lay the ball into the path of Harrad who finished coolly beyond a helpless Warrington.
