Go Green Travel Plan
Rotherham United have been working alongside transport specialists Passenger Transport Knowledge (PTK) on a new initiative to help encourage more supporters to travel to watch games at the AESSEAL New York Stadium in more sustainable, healthy and environmentally friendly ways.
A Green Travel Plan is being developed with the aim of reducing the number of supporters traveling to games in single occupancy cars, helping to lower harmful co2 emissions and reduce traffic congestion on matchdays.
The Green Travel Plan aims to encourage car sharing, the use of public transport and more walking and cycling. In order to find out how fans currently travel to the AESSEAL New York Stadium and what may encourage them to change their transport habits a travel survey was carried out by PTK.
